We watched part of Exit Through the Gift Shop.
Then we practiced identifying real life situations and extracting knowledge questions. I also gave you a packet with more information about and practice for writing knowledge questions. Working in your presentation group, you should find a real life situation and write a knowledge question by next Thurs/Fri. You will get time to work in your groups on Monday/Tuesday. I am sharing my Exit Through the Gift Shop PowerPoint with you in Google Drive, along with a copy of the handout from today.

We are exploring knowledge by working to categorize knowledge and consider what the IB gods call knowledge claims.
Here are two readings – one on categorizing knowledge (p. 32-42) and another on knowledge claims( p. 42-51) from the first section of the ToK textbook. Please read and consider this info to help you get a better understanding of the way the IB gods want you to think about knowledge. The sequence should go:
Both sections of the book have been shared with you on Google Drive. We had a SpiderWeb discussion on the article The Knowledge. We worked to figure out how we can use the information in the article to create an overarching metaphor for TOK.
Monday and Tuesday the focus was on CAS. Mr. McQueen and Ms. Monaghan were there to explain CAS to you. Then we went into the lab to make sure everyone could log onto Managebac.
You should add your first CAS Activity on Managebac this week. Leave the "supervisor" field blank! Click on the link to take the Beginning of the Year Survey!
